Social Media Reacts To News That 'The Office' Is Coming Off Netflix After 2020 - WWJ Newsradio 950

(WWJ) -- "All I can do right now is put on a brave face."

That's how a lot of fans of the popular NBC sitcom "The Office" are feeling after hearing their beloved show is coming off Netflix in January 2021.

Netflix and NBC announced the show -- which is one of the most-watched shows in the history of the streaming service -- will be moving to NBC's new streaming platform, which is set to launch next year. "The Office" will remain on Netflix all of next year, giving fans plenty of binge time with their favorite characters.

While that means there are still 18 months to watch the Scranton-based shenanigans ad-free on Netflix, many fans of the show took to social media to express their displeasure on Tuesday -- with "Office" GIFs and memes, of course.

Many had feared this day would eventually come, but now that the news is finally out, there's only one GIF appropriate to begin the reactions.

"The Office" is easily one of the most binge-able shows ever made and it is still relevant in today's world where there are endless streaming options. Even six years after the show ended on NBC, it remains one of the most popular sitcoms out there. NBC will surely get some subscribers solely for the purpose of watching Jim troll Dwight.
