WARNER BROS. Finds New CEO at BBC/BRITBOX - Newsarama

BBC Studios Americas' President Ann Sarnoff has been chosen as the new CEO/chairman of Warner Bros. Sarnoff is scheduled to begin later this month, and will work out of Warner Bros.' Los Angeles offices.

"It is a privilege to join a studio with such a storied history," Sarnoff said. "Warner Bros. has been an industry leader for decades and is known for creating many of the most iconic film, television and gaming properties. I accept this position excited by the opportunity to work with the most accomplished executives and teams in media, and confident about carrying this incredible heritage forward with them."

As head of BBC Studios America, Sarnoff oversaw the company's L.A. productions as well as supported the release of BBC mothership shows Doctor Who, Top Gear, and BBC Earth. She was also the board chairman of the BritBox streaming service.

Sarnoff's hiring comes three months after WB's former CEO Kevin Tsujihara resigned. In the interim, Warner Bros. was managed by a triumverate consisting of Toby Emmerich (Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman), Peter Roth (Warner Bros. President/CCO), and Kim Williams (Warner Bros. CFO/EVP).
